Meet the owner and operator of Uncle Rick's Smokehouse, a BBQ caterer and vendor. Rick Squires is a Pittsburgh native by way of Penn Hills as well as Sugartop.

 

He got his start at just 12 years old becoming a cook at Eddie's Restaurant in the Hill District, which served as the backdrop for August Wilson's fictional play "Two Trains Running".

 

With over 40 years of experience cooking for family and friends, Rick knows a thing or two about the kitchen AND the grill. In May of 2019, Rick decided to take a leap of faith and showcase his exceptional cuisine to the world.
